Liberals: at what point does a person, family or business become "rich" for purposes of extra taxation?

If $ 250,000 is 2 incomes. File separately. If people are just surviving on $250,000 they are living way above their means. But how would you know? You'd feel the pinch if mama and daddy started charging you rent for their basement. Because name calling is a sure sign of immaturity.
