How do i connect a second network router?

I have a cisco-linksys router but i want to at a second router because some of my devices arent compatible. I have an older router that is a Linksys model BEFSX41 that is compatible with my devices. How do i connect the second one? Im not very good at this stuff, so great detail would be appreciated.
