Cod4, search and destroy help!?

everyone says that its the best game to play to level up fast, but i dont get how it works, or anything! it makes no sense to me lol,.. can you please tell me how it works and how many points you get for each thing, all i kow is there is a folder bomb thing, and a big machine! please help
